Overview

Complying with the developing trend of international population and the requirements of national population health, the Population and Health Lab will focus on family planning care, old age health, the multilateral cooperation in migration population health between governments and non-governments so as to develop a rapid reaction mechanism in the exchange of information. Through regional cooperation and the control and prevention of emergent infectious diseases in the Asian-Pacific region, the research lab will conduct evaluation researches on economic and social influences caused by significant public health issues and related prevention and controlling measures. The lab also aims to strengthen scientific researches in health system reform, prevention and control of infectious diseases and index of maternal and child health in millennium development goals of United Nations, and to improve the international cooperation with ASEAN (the Association of Southeast Asian Nations ). more
