简介：
　　吴蓓教授，上海大学社会学系学士，美国马萨诸塞州立大学获得老年学硕士、博士学位。曾担任美国马萨诸塞州卫生经济研究中心高级研究助理，美国西弗吉尼亚大学医学院老龄研究中心及社会医学系终身副教授，以及美国北卡罗来纳州立大学老年学研究中心终身副教授，目前任美国杜克大学护理学院教授和国际研究项目的主任，兼任杜克大学老龄化和人类发展研究中心的高级研究员以及杜克大学全球健康学院的教授。其主要学术兼职包括美国老年学会院士，美国老年学高等教育学会院士，美国国立卫生研究院口腔与颌面项目评委，美国国立卫生研究院流行病项目评委，以及应用老年学杂志编委(Journal of Applied Gerontology, SSCI收录)和国际老龄化杂志编委(Ageing International)
　　20世纪80年代起，吴蓓教授开始从事老年健康保障的教学科研工作。作为项目负责人（PI和CO-PI）主持1个NIH重大项目（R01,127万美元）、4个一般项目（R21）、4个美国CDC项目、若干美国联邦/州政府和大学研究项目；参与美国NIH、CDC、老年痴呆症协会、“十五”和“十一五”国家科技支撑项目，以及卫生部项目多项，总经费逾400万美元。发表论文63篇，SCI/SSCI收录32篇，影响因子累计62.0；其中第1作者/通讯作者SCI论文11篇，SSCI论文11篇；与美国CDC等机构在Gerontologist(SSCI，IF2.315)出版专刊1次；参编12部著作，其中两本为《湖北发展研究报告》；15次应邀在国际会议上做大会发言，2010年在Paul & Laura Mesaros讲坛所作主题报告被称为讲坛举办“16年以来最好的报告”，参加1次白宫召集的农村老龄化会议，发表大会论文（摘要）88篇；有关精神障碍患者保障模式的研究得到国家领导及湖北省领导批示；多次就老年健康保障接受人民日报海外版、NIH等国内外媒体采访；有关报告/论文被多国政府、国际组织引用，社会美誉度高。
